New York Hookups: Casual Sex in the City That Never Sleeps
The subway runs all night and last call is 4am, so nobody has to rush.
Hookups in New York start with a chat on the site, then a public place you can both reach, such as Washington Square Park. The MTA says the subway runs 24 hours a day, every day, so settle your route home before you go and tell a friend the plan.
Pick your borough before you pick a time
The Census Bureau’s estimate for 1 July 2025 puts New York City at 8,584,629 people, more than any other US city, across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Your profile shows only your nearest city, so the borough stays yours to share.

After midnight
Four ways home when it is late
Ride the subway
Routes change after midnight, so check the MTA’s late-night subway diagram first.
Ask the bus driver
NYC Tourism says that from 10pm to 5am, local and express bus drivers will stop wherever you ask, if they can do it safely, and express buses only to let you off.
Cross the water
For Staten Island, NYC DOT says the ferry costs nothing, and Wikipedia says it runs around the clock and takes about 25 minutes. For New Jersey, Wikipedia says PATH trains run all night.
Take a cab or an app
The Taxi and Limousine Commission lists an overnight surcharge from 8pm to 6am. NYC Tourism also names Uber and Lyft.
Late on the subway, the MTA says to avoid empty cars and ride in the conductor car, mid-train.

Five places for a first hello
Washington Square Park
A 9.75-acre public park in Greenwich Village, with a marble arch from 1892, says Wikipedia.
Central Park
The Central Park Conservancy counts 843 acres and 42 million visits a year, so name a gate.
Brooklyn Bridge Park
Open 6am to 1am daily, though select areas have limited hours, the park says.
The High Line
Costs nothing to enter. Friends of the High Line list 7am to 10pm until 30 November, then 7am to 8pm until 31 March.
Stonewall National Monument
The National Park Service marks the Stonewall Uprising of 28 June 1969 in Greenwich Village.
For a one night stand or a second date, agree what you both want first, then skim meeting for sex safely.
Last call is 4am, and the drinking age is 21
State law: section 106 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law bars on-premises sales from 4am to 8am Monday to Saturday, and from 4am to 10am on Sundays unless a permit allows it, says the New York State Senate.
Section 65-c bars anyone under 21 from holding alcohol they mean to drink, and the state courts’ Ask a Law Librarian page says the city prohibits drinking on its streets. The site is open from 18, so a park suits every member.

Walk-in testing, with or without insurance
City clinics, sliding-scale fees.
The Health Department’s Sexual Health Clinics offer STI testing and treatment, HIV services, PrEP and PEP. It says costs run from low to nothing, you can be seen without insurance and most services are walk-in only.
Clinics are in Chelsea, Central Harlem, Fort Greene, Morrisania, Jamaica and Corona, mostly open 8.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays. Check by ringing its hotline, 347-396-7959. For how often to get tested, read the STI testing in the USA guide.

Which age groups use the site in the US?
These shares cover members in the USA as a whole, not New York alone.

Chicago and Los Angeles have pages too, the USA page covers the country, sex near me explains nearness and locations lists every city.
Before your first New York date
What time do bars stop serving in New York?
Last call can be as late as 4am, though a venue may stop sooner. The state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Law bars on-premises sales from 4am to 8am Monday to Saturday, and from 4am to 10am on Sundays, unless a permit allows it. The New York State Senate publishes the section.
Does the subway really run all night?
Yes. The MTA says it operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year. Some routes change after midnight, so check its late-night diagram, and wait for trains in the designated off-hours areas.
Where can I get tested without insurance?
The city Health Department’s Sexual Health Clinics see people without insurance, charge on a sliding scale and mostly take walk-ins. Opening hours are usually 8.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays, so ring 347-396-7959 before you travel.
