Hookup App: Browse, Chat and Meet From Your Phone
Use it in your phone’s browser, put a shortcut on your home screen and it behaves like any other app, with no app-store download.
Local Sex Meets is a browser site you add to your phone’s home screen, where it opens like an app. Browse members, check daily suggestions and message privately from there. You do not need an app-store download, and adding it takes a few steps in your browser’s menu.
Does it work like a hookup app?
In every way you will notice, yes. You build a profile, look through members, get daily suggestions and send private messages. The difference is where it lives: in your browser, behind an icon you choose to put on your home screen, instead of in an app store.
Call it a sex app, a casual dating app or a hookup app, the job is the same: show you adults whose profiles say they want what you want and let you talk before you meet. It works from a computer too, and you can take the shortcut off your phone whenever you like.
Choosing one
Four questions to ask of any hookup app
| Ask | Why | Local Sex Meets |
|---|---|---|
| Where does it put me? | An exact location tells a stranger where you are | Just your nearest town or city. No address, no live location |
| Can I cut someone off? | You should be able to end contact at once | Block instantly, and report a profile or message from the site |
| Does it warn me about scams? | Moving a chat elsewhere is a common scam tactic | You get a warning if someone tries to steer you onto WhatsApp or a similar app |
| Can I check who I am talking to? | A photo alone proves little | An optional ID check, at no charge, earns a badge. There is also a live video check with a moderator that asks for no documents |
The safety page has the full list. Comparing hookup apps in the UK, Ireland or the USA? Is there a casual sex site? gives the honest list, and the comparisons set Local Sex Meets beside Tinder, Feeld, Fling, AdultFriendFinder, Illicit Encounters and Locanto one at a time.
Set it up once
Put it on your home screen
A shortcut, not a download.
Open the site
Visit Local Sex Meets in your phone’s browser.
Find the add option
Open the browser’s menu or share button and look for Add to Home Screen. Some phones call it Install app.
Confirm
An icon appears on your home screen. Tap it and the site opens like an app.
Menu wording differs between phones and browsers, so go for the closest match. It is the same site either way, and your profile and messages are there when you open it.
If anyone else uses your phone
Your phone, your business
- Lock the phone with a passcode or fingerprint.
- Sign out when you finish on a phone or computer anyone else uses.
- Keep the icon in a folder or on a later screen, or skip it and use a bookmark.
- Delete the shortcut whenever you want to.
More ideas are in keeping your sex life private online. Once the icon is there, sex near me shows how to search by town and sex chat covers the messaging.
Hookup app questions, answered
Do I need to download Local Sex Meets?
No. Local Sex Meets is a website, so you use it in your browser. A shortcut on your home screen makes it behave like an app, but a bookmark works just as well if you prefer.
Does it work on a computer as well as a phone?
Yes. It is a website, so it opens in a browser on a computer as well as on your phone. Your profile and messages are the same wherever you sign in, so you can start on one device and carry on from another.
Which is the best hookup app?
That depends on what you want, and nobody can answer it for you. This one is built for adults after casual sex and shows only your nearest town or city. To compare properly, read the casual sex site guide or the comparisons.
Can someone tell I am using it?
If the icon is on your home screen, anyone who picks up your unlocked phone can see it. A passcode, signing out on shared devices and moving the icon into a folder keep it quieter, and you can delete the shortcut whenever you like.
